Mobility Challenged
iRobot knows what's easy for one person may be hard for another. We strive to make our products easy to use for everyone, regardless of their level of ability. All of our robots are as lightweight as possible, with easy-to-push buttons, light and sound cues, and handles. They are all very simple to operate and most can be controlled by a remote, so you don't even have to bend down to turn it on.
We take our commitment to all of our customers very seriously. If you have suggestions that might make any iRobot product more accessible, we'd love to hear it. Please email us at roomba@salton.com.au
Here's what one of customers has to say about their experience about using Roomba as a disabled person:
Before my mom bought this device for me, I could not independently (nor effectively) clean my room. Now that I have my Roomba Red, I can easily put it in my room and let it go to work on my floor. It does not stir up any dust at all, unlike other vacuums I have used. It can get under my bed and table much easier than I can. And with its "beeping", I can easily find it if it stuck somewhere out of view. Another way in which the Roomba has increased my independence occurs when there are times when I am alone in the house and feel my allergies acting up. I just turn on the Roomba Red and let it go all over the house and especially my bedroom. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this wonderful, new robotic vacuum. My life has changed immensely as a result. My allergies are better controlled and I am proud to be able to use Roomba Red independently whenever I need to. I will, of course, obtain "Scooba" when it becomes available. Thank you again. I really and truly appreciate it."
